Africa during 19th century

During the19th Africa was devided into colonies by major European countires. After the congress Europeans decided that Africa should be devided and it's hatural resources should work for European countries. France got the West side of Africa including Sahara desert and Madagascar island near the West shore. British colonies occupied West and South parts of Africa. Belgium colonies settled in the middle of Africa. Countries like Italy, Spain and Germany occupied land with colonies in different parts of Africa. Africa was shared between European countries without Africans' consent. When European people came to Africa and began to capture it Africans' were kind of surprised. African tribes' members were pushed into hard work, also lots of native Africans were sent to the New World and Europe to do hard work and actually be slaves. Europeans (who were so proud of their power) had some conflicst while Africa was devived. Lots of resources were in Africa. Fighting for resources and sleves was normal there. They plunded resources greedily. Africa's development was stoped, so as nowadays we can see Africa's bad and slow development.
